What I believe - I have always been a guide. Whether it be leading treks in the high Himalayas, coaching leaders to fine tune their leadership skills or facilitating team development processes, there are always adventures of human potential to be explored and discoveries to be made.
As a guide, my work is to lead people through challenging and often unnerving terrain and deliver them to a new geography of fresh perspectives, clarity, connection, alignment with core values and a celebration of human potential.
I believe that in all arenas of our lives, we should be inspired and supported in living out the full dimensionality and potential of our humanity.
If I had to concentrate on just two concepts that would have the most impact on moving people and teams forward they would be Presence and Courage. The ability to be present enough to know what needs to be done and the courage to do what is often difficult to do.
“True leaders don’t create followers, they create other leaders.” – Martin Luther King
Leadership Coach – Leader’s need guidance. Perhaps more so than anyone else; the pressure is on, people are counting on you and, as a leader, you have a tremendous impact on the quality of the lives of others. The best leaders know that there is always more to discover and are always seeking ways in which they can improve and hone their ability to lead, inspire, motivate, organize and support others.
“I work with leaders because leaders are the ones who have the greatest impact and influence on building healthy, vibrant and innovative communities and cultures in which good people can thrive, evolve and create.”
Even the most wildly creative people can perform poorly under ill equipped leadership. Leader’s need coaches with whom they can explore and discover realms of possibility not yet realized or imagined. Leaders need someone who can ask the right questions at the right time to get to answers and insights that are just waiting to be unleashed.
Chess works with leaders to courageously explore the edges of possibility and unlock their full potential in ways that inspire and create opportunities for those they lead to do the same.
